A liquid hydrochloric acid used for rapidly reducing the total alkalinity of swimming pool water.
Apply when the total alkalinity is above the recommended 150mg/1 (ppm) maximum.
Important instructions
- This product should be handled with care and should be carefully ‘slug’ dosed into the deep end of the pool with the pump(s) running.
- If large quantities are required, it may be necessary to apply over a number of days while testing the total alkalinity between each application.
- After completing the treatment, test and adjust the pH level if necessary.
- Always wear appropriate safety equipment when handling this product especially hand and face protection.
Dose Rates
- Pool volume: 1,000 gallons/4,545 litres – Dose rate 100ml – to reduce TA by 250ml
- Pool volume: 2,500 gallons/11,364 litres – Dose rate 250ml to reduce TA by 625ml
- Pool volume: 5,000 gallons/22,730 litres – Dose rate 500ml to reduce TA by 1.25 litres
- Pool volume 10,000 gallons/45,455 litres – Dose rate 1.00 litre to reduce TA by 2.5 litres
- Pool volume 15,000 gallons/68,175 litres – Dose rate 1.5 litres to reduce TA by 3.75 litres
