Our professional team respects the stringent safety procedures necessary for working in restricted places. We also provide disinfection and cleaning for cooling towers.
The Role of Water Disinfection Services
The primary objectives of water disinfection and cleaning services are to eliminate harmful microorganisms and impurities. The purification of these harmful bacteria ensures that the water is safe for consumption and various other uses.
Maintaining clean water is just as important as disinfecting it and cleaning it in the first place. Without the proper solutions for maintenance, water will be unsafe to drink and not meet the standards required for sanitation and industrial applications.
Here at WaterCare Solutions, our professionals have in-depth knowledge and experience in the best practices to assess contamination levels in multiple water sources. We select the best treatment methods and ensure that our water treatments are both efficient and effective.
The Process of Water Disinfection and Cleaning
We are experts in cleaning and disinfecting water tanks and storage tankers across the UK. We also provide disinfection and cleaning services for a wide range of industrial water systems and other applications. Here is a quick guide to cleaning and disinfecting water tanks. For information on our other cleaning processes, get in touch with us today.
1. Assess the Type of Tank: During the risk assessment process, we assess the type of tank that needs cleaning to produce a relevant method statement.
2. Cleaning and Emptying the Tank: The next step involves draining the contents of the tank directly to a foul drain using the drain valve if present or a sump pump if required. Once emptied, we use our specialised equipment to provide a deep clean of the tank, ensuring all internal surfaces are free of silt and debris.
3. Disinfection: We can disinfect tanks using multiple methods and solutions, however, the most common way to disinfect water tanks is through chlorination. We calculate the required amount needed for each sized tank. The tank will then be overfilled above the water line and the required quantity of chlorine added, circulated, checked and maintained for at least one hour. The tank can then be neutralised or drained and refilled before being returned to service.
