Information

Product contains calcium chloride

Calcium hardness is the measure of the amount of calcium salts found in the water. Your spa or hot tub water needs to have a calcium hardness level of between 100 ppm and 200 ppm. Low calcium hardness (very soft water) may cause spa and hot tub water to be corrosive, which may result in staining, etching or distorting of all types of hot tub surfaces. Surfaces etched by low calcium hardness will become more abrasive and uncomfortable for bathers. Rough surfaces also increase problems with algae and make cleaning more difficult. To ensure your spa water doesn’t drop below this level use AquaSparkle Spa Hardness Plus to raise your calcium hardness.

Directions for use

Measure the current calcium hardness level of the hot tub
Pre-dissolve AquaSPArkle Spa Hardness Plus in a clean plastic container at a maximum rate of 10 grams of product per 1 litre of clean cold water
Stir well until product is fully dissolved
Add the resulting solution to the spa while the pump is turned on and the water circulating

NB: When balancing spa water first adjust the total alkalinity and buffer the ph (this stops the ph value fluctuating rapidly) next adjust the ph and finally if required adjust the hardness
